It was a planned worked trip, the last together after 37 years. So to make it a special occasion. We planned dinner on the Thursday night @ Jim-Me. I was immediately taken back to the food street in Penang, Malaysia. The aromas and the amazing food with excellant service.

Excellent food delivered to the table piping hot and very tasty. Restaurant decor is a little tired and outdated, but we went there to enjoy a good meal, not to inpect the wallpaper. Recommended for anyone who enjoys rich Asian flavours.

Our food was excellent and the service very efficient. We did not book and were seated out there back in what can only be described as a last minute court yard, but with a little more TLC this area could be a lovely area. From where I was seated I had a view of the kitchen, this for some people may be a put off, but I enjoyed watching the Chef's in full on meal production. The cleanliness and hygienic ways of the Chef's was also a bonus to see.Prices are on par with similar restaurants in Mackay, though it is fully licensed so you're at the mercy of their alcohol prices. All in all, we had a wonderful evening and took home our left offers for lunch the next day.

Loved it! People were friendly, we spoke with the chef about their signature dish, 5 Spice Cuttlefish (which was AMAZING!). When you feel like tasty Malaysian food, get along to Jim Me's on Sydney Street!

Looks like we found our new favourite place for date night. Food was amazing, the staff were lovely. It was super busy but the time between courses was just right. My husband was hoping for another drink but staff were busy with large groups so we were over looked but this didn’t affect our night. Will definitely be back.

Finally, some authentic cuisine in Mackay! The best calamari I’ve had in a long time. Dark soy noodles, fried rice and chicken curry dishes all really lovely Malay-Singaporean flavours. Can’t wait to go back!

Some of the photos from the banquet meal that we enjoyed. The photos do not do justice to the lovely food, the service was great and efficient even when the whole restaurant was full.Recent visit Oct 22: My question was, what is the best praw s dish and I was encouraged a special with crispy prawns and pumpkin sauce. I am willing to try new things, but this was so much better than my best wishes.Highly recommend this special. Had to pretend it wasn't too good so hubby wouldn't try it and I could have it all! Ha ha ha

Food was excellent! Service was outstanding! My partner and I were the first ones in the door tonight, after ordering, our entrees were brought out hot and fresh within 10 mins and our main meals within 20mins. The place was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed and the music was good also ! All our meals were decent size portions, hot, tasty & fresh! Compliments to the chef. The wonderful lady who served us was the embodiment of a good hostess! Quick on her feet, polite, hard-working and cheerful! And although the food was a little on the pricey side it was money well spent & worth every dollar! It was our first time at Jim-Me Kitchen tonight and it won't be the last !

Great personal service. Great food. Be warned banquet comes with dessert so if ya wife makes you finish off the 3 mains dishes remember there is dessert or you'll barely be able to walk to ya car afterwards.

My partner and myself came here for the first time on a date night ... nothing short of amaizing!!!! the food was quick to come out and absolutely delicious, the selection of foods my partner and I shared were very tasty and a great selection of seafood and poultry and beef... the service was excellent and great value for money... this place is our new favourite 😍 💕 ❤ ✨
